Editorial & Source Policy

Our guides are designed to answer homeowner questions accurately without diagnosing a property or turning unsupported local claims into search content.

Editorial purpose

Commercial pages explain available service categories, common symptoms, professional boundaries and the next inspection step. Guides help homeowners compare methods, document conditions, prepare for a visit and ask better questions.

Source priority

We prioritize current government, statute, regulatory, health, utility, academic and original manufacturer documentation for time-sensitive or technical claims. Third-party cost and market sources may be used as directional context only and are labeled accordingly. Local property or hazard claims are not made from a town name alone.

Review standard

Pages display a reviewed date. Structural, mold, radon, lead, asbestos, legal, insurance and contractor-registration topics receive additional boundary checks. When qualified provider or engineering review is available, the reviewer and scope are identified rather than implied.

What we avoid

  • Remote diagnosis from photos or form answers.
  • Fear claims that equate every crack with imminent failure.
  • Claims that one interior or exterior method fits every home.
  • Invented projects, testimonials, addresses, crews or town offices.
  • Visual mold identification, toxicity claims or medical advice.
  • Guaranteed insurance coverage, savings, response time or repair results.
  • Formulaic town pages with swapped names and unsupported soil or flood claims.

Commercial relationships

The network may receive compensation from service providers. Commercial relationships do not change the stated source and corrections standards. Provider projects, reviews and warranties are attributed to that provider and are not presented as the network's own unless the evidence supports that relationship.

Corrections

Material errors are reviewed and, when confirmed, corrected with an updated review date. Use the website request route and state that the message is an editorial correction rather than a service project. Do not submit private medical, legal or financial records with a correction.
